A: PAFFA is aimed at Supporting Police Officers and staff who have friends
or family serving in the Armed Forces.
However in practice PAFFA also receives enquiries from currently serving
personnel and Armed Forces families who are not members of or connected with the Police Service.
Q: What is a Hug in a Hamper?
A: A hug in a Hamper is a selection of small gifts, in a box which are sent
to wife/family of those personnel being deployed. This can include
gifts for children, and is just a means of saying we are thinking of
you.
Q: What is A Smile for Miles?
A: A Smile for Miles is a simple message of support written on a card with
a smiley Face and usually written anonymously by members of the
public, and sent out to deployed members of the forces.

Q: Is PAFFA a charity?
A: PAFFA is not a charity, but is a limited not for profit company. Each
year PAFFA raises money for two charities, one Police and one
Military, namely COPS, Care of Police Survivors and the SSAFA Family housing at Selly Oak Hospital, where injured service personnel are taken to .
Q: How are funds raised for PAFFA?
A: Funds are raised, at Fund raising events by the sale of Delta Dogs, and
PAFFA badges. Details of Fund raising events can be found on the Web

Q: How could I help with a contribution
to a hug in a Hamper?
A: Donations, of small gifts, i.e., pampering bath/shower products,
candles, DVD'S etc. These can be sent to Jan Brooks, PAFFA
